Scratch

Scratch is a programming language and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world. As children create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically.

Computer Coding

K-5th Grade - Learn to code with Scratch, Ozobot, Code Master and Robot Turtles programs and games.

This class also combines with our "Hour of Code" class.  For more on our "Hour of Code" class click here.

When:  Tuesdays

Who:  K-5th Graders

Time: 4-6pm (PRE)

Location:  Piney Ridge Elementary School

Cost:  Please see Registration Page

Transportation:  Transportation will be offered from Freedom, Linton and Carrolltowne to class (held at Piney Ridge) for a $25 transportation fee every 4 weeks.

Robot Turtles

Designed with simple symbols, color cues and a tool to correct mistakes, Robot Turtles teaches basic programming skills for all ages!

Ozobot

- Learn and play with robotics in a variety of social and interactive settings.  

- Create mazes, tracks and playgrounds on paper, game boards and digital screens.

- Explore downloadable apps

- Learn code language, robotic behavior and deductive reasoning.

- Play creative, strategic and competitive games with you.

Code Master

The Ultimate Coding Board Game

 

In Code Master, your Avatar travels to an exotic world in search of power Crystals. Along the way, you use programming logic to navigate the Map. Think carefully, in each level, only one specific sequence of actions will lead to success. Once you collect all the Crystals and land at the Portal, you win! Playing Code Master won’t just teach you principles behind programming, you’ll also build planning, sequential reasoning and problem-solving skills.
