Drone Racing for Kids!

Students will learn how to fly a drone by maneuvering through obstacles, and racing other student teams.  Students fly through fast and technical race courses in this STEM related activity!

IF drones are taken outside, please help students dress for weather.

Students will work with drones for 45-60 minutes then work on other STEM activities such as Hour of Code, Chess, and others before pickup by 6pm.

A drone will be provided for the students.  No need to bring yours or purchase one.

This drone has LED lights making it stand apart from others, and with two high-capacity batteries, flight time is extended to 40 minutes!  The one key take off, land and return function makes it easier for kids and beginners.  Altitude hold and real time transmission help to see First Person Views with the included camera.  Students will learn six voice commands to execute essential flying functions.  Many functions come with the app such as G-sensor which allows control of the drone by tilting your mobile device, 3D flips and variable speeds.
