FAQs

1 When is tuition due?

Tuition is due by the 1st, 5th, 9th, 13th weeks of the program.

2 How do I pay my tuition?

Tuition can be paid online through the Freedom Area Recreation website https://farc.sportssignup.com (search for the name of one of our programs).  Unless a special circumstance must be made, we do not accept cash.

3 Do you accept drop-ins?

For special cases, the Awesome Kids Program may provide drop in care for families who need service on an unscheduled day. Please contact the director at least 24 hours in advance of the date of service. Payment is due at the time of “sign in” or “sign out”. Drop in service can be denied if there is not enough space for the child. If you are unable to give 24 hours notice we will do our best to accommodate your family but we cannot guarantee we will have space.

4 Is care available when schools are closed for teacher in-service days, early dismissal days, or when school is closed for inclement weather?

Awesome Kids Programs are not in session when schools are closed for teacher in-service days, early dismissal days or when school is closed for inclement weather.  We are a Freedom Area Recreation Council program so we follow their schedule, who in turn follows the CCPS schedule.  Please visit the FARC website for more info.  www.freedomarearec.com

5 What happens when schools open late due to inclement weather?

If schools open late due to inclement weather we will still have the program.

6 Can someone other than the parents pick up my child from the program?

Yes.  Please be sure to write a note and/or call and leave a message with the director so they have a name/address to compare to the person’s identification when they arrive.  If there is a regular pick up person the director will add their information to the student’s registration.

7 What happens in a typical day?

Students choose which class they would like to be in and they learn and grow while participating in that class.

8 Can my student and I visit the program before registering?

Yes. The Awesome Kids Program has an open visitation policy. We encourage you to check in with the director upon your arrival so they can answer any additional questions you may have.

9 How will I know about events happening with the program?

We communicate in person, through our website or email blasts.

10 Do you have any scholarship programs?
