LEGO MOVIE 2

Movie Making for Kids!

(with stop time motion)

Movie Making for Kids! K-5th Grade - Movie

Making for Kids! gives students the opportunity to

create their own stop motion animation videos.

Your student can now direct their own movie with the LEGO MOVIE 2 LEGO movie Maker.  This class teaches the student how to recreate their favorite scene from the movie using the buildings, movie stage, camera stand and cool action props.  Use backdrops from the movie, a slide to move characters around, and characters from the movie itself!  Action props include Emmet's Escape Buggy, Rex's Rexplorer, a Sweet Mayhem mini-doll, brick-built Warrior Kitty, Star, Queen Watevra Wa’Nabi, alien invader figures, and a raptor figure.

Use any of our other LEGO bricks, action figures including dinosaurs and vehicles, and come up with your own story!

Ever dreamed of making a movie about ninjas on a jeep being chased by a T-Rex? With Movie Making for Kids! you can turn any idea into a real movie!  From picking out the right gear, planning a story, and setting up shots, to animating minifigures, editing, and promoting their film online, students turn into an Oscar-worthy wizard in no time!

Stopmotion animation is made one frame at a time. Students bring their ideas to life with easy to use animation software and cameras.  Whether making a LEGO brickfilm with lasers and explosions; filming a claymation movie or watching a flower bloom using Time-lapse photography, stop motion movie making is a great way to get kids started in film making.  You can bring anything to life in minutes!

In this class students use:

- an HD camera, a flexible plug and play USB camera with built-in microphone
- Animation software, designed for children by teachers
- Book of Animation with step-by-step instructions for creating 20 hilarious stop motion videos and ideas for even more

Computer software allows students to
- Play movie back
- Record or import music and sounds
- Add text and special effects
- Copy, edit, move and delete animation frames
