Minecraft EDU (Computer Coding with Minecraft)

(with ComputerCraftEDU)

1st-6th Grade - Minecraft EDU is a special version of the popular Minecraft video game specifically for use in the classroom.   Learning is done by playing Minecraft to build and program with weekly STEM based challenges.  This class may also be combined with the computer coding class (see that page by clicking HERE.)

Players will start with a tile-based interface to learn the fundamentals of programming.  By finding ways to use turtles to automate and extend their usual Minecraft activities, students become engaged and motivated to learn.  Whether the student is completely new or has some experience, ComputerCraftEdu is an easy and fun way to learn important real world skills and get creative on a whole new level.
