Monday

Port Discovery

At Port Discovery, we encourage children to ask questions, to try something new, to turn things upside down and inside out. Why? Because when children are playing, they're figuring out how things work. They're figuring out what they're interested in. They're developing an understanding of themselves, of their community, and the world around them. Extra bonus: As children are playing and learning, parents, caregivers and teachers have the chance to watch, learn and be proud of what their children accomplish along the way. Pretty cool!

Wednesday

Maryland Science Center

In everything we do we invite participation. Our exhibits are interactive and hands-on.  Our education programs are collaborative and driven by curiosity. Our live science shows and pop up science activities ask guests to use their own knowledge to predict outcomes.  And at every turn, we invite participants to join us in this pursuit. We believe that exploring the possibilities of science is active, not passive, and inclusive.  We celebrate the idea that cause and effect, trial and error, and especially outright failure, is the best way to teach–and learn!
